Lauren Clum, DC

Dr. Lauren Clum has been serving Oakland and the surrounding communities since the fall of 2007. After graduating from chiropractic college in early 2005, Dr. Clum spent a year and a half practicing chiropractic in San Jose, Costa Rica. Her brother and his wife have practiced chiropractic in the Central Valley of Costa Rica for nearly 8 years, and Dr. Clum was thrilled to be able to assist them in serving hundreds of people each week. In late 2006, Dr. Clum returned to her Bay Area home and began plans for opening Oakland Specific Chirorpactic. Just about a year later, she opened the doors to her dream practice on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. 

During her time in Costa Rica, Dr. Clum was afforded the opportunity to hone her Spanish-speaking skills, as well as care for patients from all walks of life. From the very young to the very old, the sick and diseased to the highly-tuned athlete, Dr. Clum widened her spectrum of who she could take care of and how to modify her technique in order to do so. 

Today, Dr. Clum helps people get well by restoring function to the nervous systems of her patients. This goal is achieved by utilizing cutting edge technology in order to assess the patient, an innovative analysis in order to derive a care plan, and impeccable skill in delivering adjustments. Dr. Clum has completed hundreds of hours of additional post-graduate education in order become an expert in her field.

  • Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, Life Chiropractic College West, 2005
  • Completion of Applied Upper Cervical Biomechanics six month coursework through the International Upper Cervical Chiropractic Assocation, 2005
  • Completion of year long coursework in Knee Chest Solid Headpiece Toggle Recoil Upper Cervical Specific Technique through The Specific Chiropractic Center, 2008
